Black Hawk Community Tornado Relief

Oprah Winfrey Boys & Girls Club of Kosciusko, MS

We are accepting donations for the Black Hawk community and surrounding areas. These communities were hit by an EF-3 tornado on March 24th.

Needed Items: Water, can goods, toiletries, and blankets.
Drop Off Location: Oprah Winfrey Unit 500 Knox Rd. Kosciusko, MS

We will be accepting donations until April 7th and will be transporting donations to the Black Hawk Community.

Velma Young Spelling Bee


VELMAYOUNG: Recently a spelling bee was held at our Velma Young unit. The winners were: Macedic E. (2nd grade/Parkview), Zy'rion W. (3rd grade/Parkview), Camira G. (4th grade/Parkview), and Kaydien N. (5th grade/Poplar Springs), also pictured is Heaven, staff at Velma Young.

Donations Needed

 On March 24th, the Black Hawk and surrounding communities were hit by an EF-3 tornado. The Oprah Winfrey unit of Kosciusko is collecting donations to transport to the citizens of that area. The needed donations are can goods, water, toiletries, and blankets. If you would like to make a donation please take your items to:

Think Clean, Spring Clean Our City

 On Saturday, March 11th, Ward 4 Councilwoman Romande Walker hosted the "Think Clean, Spring Clean Our City" community service project. BGCEMS come out with staff and club members to 72nd place, Western Gardens, Cedar Bend, and surrounding areas to work on much-needed areas.
